SB 441 Original 2020 Regular Session Abraham
Present law provides that the board of Calcasieu-Cameron Navigation District will meet in regular
session once each quarter. Further provides that the board will meet in special session as often as the
president of the board convenes them, or on written request of three members.
Proposed law retains present law but allows the president to elect not to call a regular quarterly
meeting if there is no business to come before the board and three or more members have not
requested a meeting. Requires the president to notify all members of the board of commissioners of
his decision.
Effective upon signature of the governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
