(gov sig) 1 AN ACT 2 To enact R.S. 39:82.2, relative to appropriations; to provide relative to the deadline to 3 withdraw appropriations from the preceding year against which bona fide liabilities 4 existed as of the last day of the fiscal year; to provide for the suspension of laws; 5 and to provide for related matters. 6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana: 7 Section 1. R.S. 39:82.2 is hereby enacted to read as follows: 8 ยง82.2. Suspension of laws; appropriations 9 The provisions of R.S. 39:82 which establish a deadline to withdraw 10 appropriations from the preceding year against which bona fide liabilities 11 existed as of the last day of the fiscal year are hereby suspended until the 12 sixtieth day after final adjournment of the 2021 Regular Session of the 13 Legislature of Louisiana. 14 Section 2. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not 15 signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature 16 by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana.
