Provides for certain fees collected by the commissioner of insurance from property and casualty insurers. (7/1/20) 1 AN ACT 2 To amend and reenact R.S. 22:821(B)(10), relative to the collection of certain fees from 3 property and casualty insurers; and to provide for related matters. 4 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana: 5 Section 1. R.S. 22:821(B)(10) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows: 6 ยง821. Fees 7 * * * 8 B. DIGEST SB 72 Original 2020 Regular Session Smith Present law requires the commissioner of insurance to collect in advance the following fees: (1)For each company filing of property and casualty insurance policy forms, per product $100.00 (2)For each company filing to adopt a reference or item filing of advisory organization's form reference filing (not applicable to service purchasers, who must file the actual forms as shown above) $20.00 (3)For each company filing of property and casualty insurance policy endorsements, amendments, or riders $25.00 Proposed law removes the $100 fee for each property and casualty insurance policy and instead requires collection of $50 for each form filing of property and casualty insurance policy. Proposed law removes the $20 fee collected for each company filing to adopt a reference or item filing of advisory organization's form reference filing, but which is not applicable to service purchasers, who must file the actual forms required by law. Proposed law removes the $25 fee for each company filing of property and casualty insurance policy endorsements, amendments, or riders. Effective July 1, 2020.
