Reconstitutes and extends the deadlines of the Task Force on Protecting Children from Exposure to Pornography. 1 A CONCURRENT RESOL UTION 2 To reconstitute and extend the term of the Task Force on Protecting Children from Exposure 3 to Pornography, which was created to study all issues related to the exposure of 4 children to pornography and the impact that it has on their lives. 5 WHEREAS, by Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 56 of the 2019 Regular Session, 6 the Legislature of Louisiana created the Task Force on Protecting Children from Exposure 7 to Pornography to conduct a study of the issues related to the exposure of children to 8 pornography and to recommend any legislation it may deem appropriate to address the issues 9 studied by the task force; and 10 WHEREAS, Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 56 of the 2019 Regular Session of 11 the legislature sets forth that the task force was to report its findings and recommendations, 12 including any suggestions for legislation, to the legislature no later than January 1, 2020; and 13 WHEREAS, Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 56 of the 2019 Regular Session of 14 the legislature sets forth that the task force was to cease to exist no later than January 1, 15 2020; and 16 WHEREAS, prior to January 1, 2020, the task force determined that additional time 17 is required to study fully all of the issues related to the exposure of children to pornography 18 and the impact that it has on their lives, and to prepare and submit its report to the Page 1 of 2 SCR NO. 25 SLS 20RS-671 ORIGINAL 1 legislature. 2 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby 3 reconstitute the Task Force on Protecting Children from Exposure to Pornography created 4 by Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 56 of the 2019 Regular Session, and provides that the 5 task force membership and functions shall be as set forth in that Resolution. 6 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby extend 7 the deadline by which the task force is to submit its report to the legislature to not later than 8 January 1, 2021, at which time the task force shall cease to exist. 9 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the 10 office of the attorney general.
