2020 Regular Session ENROLLED SENATE CONCURRENT RESOL UTION NO. 25 BY SENATOR FOIL A CONCURRENT RESOL UTION To reconstitute and extend the term of the Task Force on Protecting Children from Exposure to Pornography, which was created to study all issues related to the exposure of children to pornography and the impact that it has on their lives. WHEREAS, by Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 56 of the 2019 Regular Session, the Legislature of Louisiana created the Task Force on Protecting Children from Exposure to Pornography to conduct a study of the issues related to the exposure of children to pornography and to recommend any legislation it may deem appropriate to address the issues studied by the task force; and WHEREAS, Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 56 of the 2019 Regular Session of the Legislature sets forth that the task force was to report its findings and recommendations, including any suggestions for legislation, to the legislature no later than January 1, 2020; and WHEREAS, Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 56 of the 2019 Regular Session of the Legislature sets forth that the task force was to cease to exist no later than January 1, 2020; and WHEREAS, prior to January 1, 2020, the task force determined that additional time is required to study fully all of the issues related to the exposure of children to pornography and the impact that it has on their lives, and to prepare and submit its report to the legislature. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby reconstitute the Task Force on Protecting Children from Exposure to Pornography created by Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 56 of the 2019 Regular Session, and provides that the task force membership and functions shall be as set forth in that Resolution. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby extend the deadline by which the task force is to submit its report to the legislature to not later than May 1, 2021, at which time the task force shall cease to exist.
