Requests BESE to create a continuous learning task force to assist the state Department of Education
in developing guidance for Louisiana educators to meet the immediate need of supporting learning
outside of normal practices.
Provides that the task force include:
(1) An appointee by the governor.
(2)A member of the La. Senate, appointed by the Senate president.
(3)A member of the La. House of Representatives, appointed by the speaker of the House.
(4)The state superintendent of education.
(5)A member of BESE, appointed by the president of BESE.
(6)A designee of the La. Television Authority.
(7)A designee of the La. School Boards Association.
(8)A designee of the La. Public Charter School Association.
(9)A designee of the Associated Professional Educators of La.
(10)A designee of the La. Association of Educators.
(11)A designee of the La. Federation of Teachers.
(12)A designee of CABL.
(13)A designee of LABI.
(14)A designee of PAR.
(15)A local school superintendent of a school district with a student population in excess of
10,000 students, designated by the La. Association of School Superintendents.
(16) A local school superintendent of a school district with a student population of less than 10,000 students, designated by the La. Association of School Superintendents.

(18)Two parents of public school children, one of whom shall be the parent of a child who is
designated in need of special education services, selected by BESE from nominees of the
individual members of the board.
