SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 51

CONDOLENCES. Expresses condolences upon the death of Karen Tucker.
1 A RESOLUTION
2 To express the sincere condolences of the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana upon the
3 death of native Baton Rougean, Karen Sue "Susie" Hannaman Tucker.
4 WHEREAS, Karen Sue "Susie" Hannaman Tucker was a native of Baton Rouge,
5 Louisiana, and she graduated from Tara High School and Louisiana State University before
6 marrying her sweetheart who became her husband for the next forty-one years, Bob Tucker;
7 and
8 WHEREAS, the Tuckers raised a daughter and two sons: Katherine Anne, Michael,
9 and Douglas, who presented Susie and Bob with six amazing grandchildren who became the
10 loves of their grandparents' lives, bringing joy and wonderful memories; and
11 WHEREAS, Susie Tucker was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Baton
12 Rouge and she was dedicated to living out her faith in her daily life, including hosting a
13 women's Bible study group that met in her home for twenty-three years; and
14 WHEREAS, with her generous spirit and abiding faith, Susie Tucker brought much
15 joy and love to all who crossed her path, and she leaves all those people with endearing
16 recollections that enrich their lives today and going forward; and
17 WHEREAS, while Susie Tucker will be missed by her friends and family, the
18 knowledge that she touched so many lives with her faith and her love will sustain those who

1 are left to treasure their memories of her love, faith, and kindness.
2 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
3 does hereby express sincere condolences upon the death of native Baton Rougean, Karen
4 Sue "Susie" Hannaman Tucker.
5 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to her
6 husband, Bob Tucker.
