Be it resolved by the Legislature of Louisiana, two-thirds of the members 8elected to each house concurring, that there shall be submitted to the electors of the state of 9Louisiana, for their approval or rejection in the manner provided by law, a proposal to 10amend Article I, Section 3 of the Constitution of Louisiana, to read as follows: 11 §3. Right to Individual Dignity 12 Section 3. No person shall be denied the equal protection of the laws. No 13 law shall discriminate against a person because of race or religious ideas, beliefs, or 14 affiliations. No law shall arbitrarily, capriciously, or unreasonably discriminate 15 against a person because of birth, age, sex, culture, physical condition, or political 16 ideas or affiliations. Slavery and involuntary servitude are prohibited, except in the 17 latter case as punishment for crime. 18 Section 2. Be it further resolved that this proposed amendment shall be submitted 19to the electors of the state of Louisiana at the statewide election to be held on November 8, 202022.
