BY REPRESENTATIVE CHARLES OWEN AND SENATOR REESE
1 AN ACT
2 To repeal Subpart E of Part II of Chapter 1 of Title 14 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of
3 1950, comprised of R.S. 14:47 through 50, and R.S. 15:443, relative to offenses
4 against a person; to repeal provisions relative to defamation, presumption of malice,
5 qualified privilege, and absolute privilege.
6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1. Subpart E of Part II of Chapter 1 of Title 14 of the Louisiana Revised
8 Statutes of 1950, comprised of R.S. 14:47 through 50, and R.S. 15:443 are hereby repealed
9 in their entirety.
