Abstract: Provides relative to the membership, duties, and administrative rules of the La. Sexual
Assault Oversight Commission.
Present law provides for the membership and duties of the La. Sexual Assault Oversight
Commission.
Proposed law retains present law and adds to the membership of the commission the president of
Sexual Trauma Awareness & Response or a designee.
Proposed law allows the commission to adopt additional projects, duties, or both upon the approval
of the members.
Present law requires the commission to meet at least once every three months and allows the
chairman to call for additional meetings.
Proposed law amends present law to require the commission to meet at least once every four months.
Present law provides that the office of the attorney general shall adopt rules necessary to implement
present law and that all rules shall be adopted pursuant to the provisions of the Administrative
Procedure Act. 
Proposed law removes the authority of the attorney general to adopt rules necessary to implement
present law.
Effective upon signature of governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
(Amends R.S. 15:555(D); Adds R.S. 15:555(A)(17) and 556(A)(3); Repeals R.S. 15:556(B))
