HOUSE BILL NO. 337
BY REPRESENTATIVE CREWS
1	AN ACT
2 To amend and reenact R.S. 2:135.1(B)(2)(introductory paragraph) and to enact R.S.
3 2:135.1(B)(2)(c), relative to airport facility leases operated and maintained by the
4 Shreveport Downtown Airport; to provide for the removal of lease requirements
5 pertaining to the addition or construction of certain improvements for non-air carrier
6 airports and air carrier airports; and to provide for related matters.
7	Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published
8	as provided by Article III, Section 13 of the Constitution of
9	Louisiana.
10 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
11 Section 1.  R.S. 2:135.1(B)(2)(introductory paragraph) is hereby amended and
12 reenacted and R.S. 2:135.1(B)(2)(c) is hereby enacted to read as follows:
13 ยง135.1.  Authority to equip, improve, establish fees and charges, and lease airport
14	facilities

18	(2)  All leases executed under the provisions of this Section shall provide for
19 consideration to be paid annually or monthly as provided for in the lease.  All such
20 the leases shall be for a period not exceeding ten years, except as follows:

22	(c)  The provisions of this Paragraph shall not apply to the Shreveport
23 Downtown Airport.

1 Section 2.  This Act shall become effective on January 1, 2023; if vetoed by the
2 governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on
3 January 1, 2023, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later.
