Abstract: Provides for the testing of drinking water for secondary water contaminants in
St. Tammany Parish.
Proposed law defines "secondary contaminant", for purposes of proposed law, as any substance for
which secondary maximum contaminant levels are established in the National Secondary Drinking
Water Regulations of the EPA.
Proposed law authorizes the governing authority of St. Tammany Parish to require testing for
secondary contaminants in water systems in the parish.
Effective upon signature of governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
