Present law prohibits a wine producer or manufacturer who is a party to a wholesale agreement from selling and shipping sparkling or still wine directly to a consumer. Present law prohibits the selling and shipping of sparkling and still wine directly to a consumer unless the sale is perfected when the consumer is physically present on the premises of the wine producer or manufacturer and completed by shipment to the consumer in La., or when the sparkling or still wine bears a properly registered label.
