Abstract: Changes the fees collected by the marshal of the city of Ruston by placing the marshal
within the general fee schedules of marshals and constables and by removing the authority
of the city marshal of the city of Ruston to collect certain fees and costs under a separate
authority.
Present law places the marshal of the city of Ruston under a separate fee schedule.
Proposed law changes the fees collected by the marshal of the city of Ruston by placing the marshal
within the general fee schedules of marshals and constables (R.S. 13:5807) and by removing the
authority of the city marshal of the city of Ruston to collect certain fees and costs under a separate
authority (R.S. 13:5807.5).
