[R.S. 1:13(B) and 24:177(E)] HB 584 Reengrossed 2021 Regular Session Zeringue Abstract: Appropriates funds for FY 2021-2022 for expenses of the Louisiana Judiciary, including the supreme court, courts of appeal, district courts, Criminal Court of Orleans Parish, juvenile and family courts, and other courts. Appropriates funds for Fiscal Year 2021-2022 for the ordinary operating expenses of the judicial branch of government with total funding of $190,768,369 from the following sources: $171,134,594 out of the State General Fund (Direct); $9,392,850 out of Interagency Transfers; and $10,240,925 from statutory dedications out of the Judges' Supplemental Compensation Fund and the Trial Court Case Management Fund. Appropriations from State General Fund (Direct) shall be reduced by $9,626,155 pursuant to a plan adopted by the Judicial Budgetary Control Board or as approved by the La. Supreme Court. Add requirement that appropriations from State General Fund (Direct) contained in this Act be reduced by a total amount of $9,626,155 pursuant to a plan adopted by the Judicial Budgetary Control Board or as approved by the La. Supreme Court. 2. Make technical changes. The House Floor Amendments to the engrossed bill: 1. Adds provisions to direct the Judicial Budgetary Control Board and the Legislative Auditor to create a uniform budget template containing itemized revenues and expenditures for use by district courts, city courts, municipal and traffic courts. Requires budget development with public participation. Budgets are due by November 1, 2021 and must be posted on a website when the supreme court adopts its budget request for the ensuing year. 2.
