New law requires the Joint Legislative Committee on Technology and Cybersecurity
(committee) to consider the creation and administration of regulatory structures for people
engaged in network installation and cybersecurity in the state.
New law allows the committee to consider all structures they deem appropriate and provides
an illustrative list of potential approaches.
New law requires the committee to submit findings or recommendations to the legislature
prior to the 2022 R.S.
Effective upon signature of governor (June 16, 2021).
New law is repealed in its entirety effective Jan. 1, 2023.
