Abstract: Increases the maximum per diem that may be paid to the governing board of the Ward
Five Fire Protection District of Evangeline Parish.
Present law authorizes parishes to create fire protection and prevention districts. Present law
provides that each fire protection district is governed by an appointed board.
Present law provides that board members may be paid a per diem of $30 for attendance at board
meetings, not to exceed two meetings per month.
Proposed law increases the maximum per diem that may be paid to board members of the Ward Five
Fire Protection District of Evangeline Parish to $100, not to exceed two meetings per month.
