Existing law authorizes the state to dedicate certain property in East Baton Rouge Parish for
use by the Recreation and Parks Commission for the parish of East Baton Rouge for public
recreation and park purposes, including the erection and maintenance of specific types of
facilities.
New law authorizes the state to transfer any additional rights or interest, excluding mineral
rights, or enter into any agreements with the commission and third parties, which will
facilitate uses of the dedicated property in addition to those provided in existing law.
Effective upon signature of governor (June 16, 2021).
