Abstract:  Requires that additional content be included in reports submitted to the New Orleans city
council by the New Orleans Sewerage and Water Board.
Present law requires the New Orleans Sewerage and Water Bd. (board) to report quarterly to the city
council relative to its operations.  Provides relative to the content requirements of the report
including the percentage of receivables outstanding, including a delinquency schedule.
Proposed law retains present law and additionally requires that the report contain the total value of
receivables outstanding and a copy of the board's policies and procedures for bill collection.

Summary of Amendments Adopted by House
The Committee Amendments Proposed by House Committee on Municipal, Parochial and
Cultural Affairs to the original bill:
1. Remove proposed law authorizing the city council to enforce bill collection if reports
indicate that the value of unpaid bills for services increased for two consecutive quarters.
