RÉSUMÉ DIGEST ACT 243 (HB 708) 2021 Regular Session Fontenot New law defines "originating jurisdiction" and "executing jurisdiction". New law allows a person who is arrested and booked in an executing jurisdiction pursuant to a warrant for arrest issued by the originating jurisdiction to post bail in either the originating or executing jurisdiction. New law provides the conditions by which new law may occur. New law specifies that new law is not applicable to warrants for sex offenses, homicides and crimes resulting in a death or deaths, felony domestic violence offenses, and aggravated offenses.
