RÉSUMÉ DIGEST ACT 358 (HB 710) 2021 Regular Session McFarland Existing law provides that an elected chief of police of a village shall be an elector of the village who, at the time of qualification as a candidate, has been domiciled in the village for at least the immediately preceding six months. New law provides for an exception for the police chief in Dodson. Provides that a person who resides outside of the corporate limits of Dodson, but within the boundaries of Winn Parish, may be elected chief of police. Effective upon signature of governor (June 14, 2021). (Amends R.S. 33:385.1(B))
