Requests the House Committee on Natural Resources and Environment and the Senate Committee
on Natural Resources to meet and to function as a joint committee to study and make
recommendations regarding Louisiana's underground injection control program by evaluating the
regulatory framework administered by the La. Department of Natural Resources, office of
conservation; reviewing any and all local, state, and federal laws and regulations relative to the
underground injection of fluids; and identifying differences in the regulation of injection wells by
the La. Department of Natural Resources and the Railroad Commission of Texas; and to report its
findings to the legislature 60 days prior to the convening of the 2022 Regular Session.
