COMMENDATIONS: Commends the Jesuit High School lacrosse team on winning the
2021 Louisiana High School Lacrosse League Division I state championship
1 A RESOLUTION
2To commend the Jesuit High School lacrosse team on winning the 2021 Louisiana High
3 School Lacrosse League Division I state championship.
4 WHEREAS, the Jesuit High School lacrosse team capped off an undefeated season
5with a victory over Catholic High School of Baton Rouge in the lacrosse league Division I
6state title game on Sunday, May 16, 2021, at Lee Hedges Stadium in Shreveport; and
7 WHEREAS, Jesuit suffered the loss of its leading scorer, Andrew Brown, after he
8sustained an arm injury in the first half; however, the team embraced the challenge and went
9on to win their sixth state lacrosse championship since the Louisiana High School Lacrosse
10League's founding in 2008; and
11 WHEREAS, Jesuit was led by the stellar offensive performance of senior attacker
12Evan Centola, who scored six goals and two assists and earned the game's offensive and
13overall Most Valuable Player honors; senior Max Milano earned defensive Most Valuable
14Player honors for the game; and
15 WHEREAS, Head Coach Zach Pall led the Jesuit High School lacrosse team to a
16perfect 10-0 record in his first season as the team's coach; and
17 WHEREAS, the Jesuit High School lacrosse team won its first five state
18championships in succession from 2012 to 2016; and
19 WHEREAS, the members of the 2021 Jesuit High School lacrosse team are most
20deserving of recognition for their incredible championship season and for reclaiming the title
21as the best of the Louisiana High School Lacrosse League.

1 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
2Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Jesuit High School lacrosse team on
3winning the 2021 Louisiana High School Lacrosse League Division I state championship;
4does hereby recognize the team's excellence over the past decade; and does hereby extend
5sincere hopes that the team continue to work hard and enjoy similar success in the future.
6 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the
7principal of Jesuit High School.
