COMMENDATIONS: Commends Kylie Small on being named the 2021 Bossier Parish
Middle School Student of the Year and her selection as a finalist for the 2021
Louisiana Middle School Student of the Year
1 A RESOLUTION
2To commend Kylie Small on being named the 2021 Bossier Parish Middle School Student
3 of the Year and her selection as a finalist for the 2021 Louisiana Middle School
4 Student of the Year.
5 WHEREAS, Kylie is an eighth grader at Haughton Middle School and is one of
6seven students from around the state chosen to compete in the Louisiana Middle School
7Student of the Year competition; and
8 WHEREAS, students are chosen based on criteria that measure academic
9achievement, leadership skills, character, and service to their schools and communities; and
10 WHEREAS, Kylie serves as a Red Jacket ambassador at her school, and she is also
11captain of the cheerleading team and an NCA All-American Cheerleader; she is vice
12president of her school's student council, a district winner in cross country, and a performer
13in Bossier Schools' Talented Theater program; and
14 WHEREAS, Kylie also earned perfect scores in math and English and language arts
15on the LEAP test; and
16 WHEREAS, Kylie Small is most deserving of recognition for her incredible
17achievements this school year.
18 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
19Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Kylie Small on being named the 2021
20Bossier Parish Middle School Student of the Year and her selection as a finalist for the 2021

1Louisiana Middle School Student of the Year and does hereby extend sincere hopes for her
2continued success as she begins high school.
3 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the
4principal of Bossier Parish Middle School.
