COMMENDATIONS: Commends Lusher Charter School senior Reign Riley on winning
the Louisiana High School Athletic Association 2021 Class 4A girls' shot put title
1 A RESOLUTION
2To commend Lusher Charter School senior Reign Riley on winning the Louisiana High
3 School Athletic Association 2021 Class 4A girls' shot put title.
4 WHEREAS, Lusher Charter School senior Reign Riley joined in on her family's
5tradition of winning individual state championships with her performance in the girls' shot
6put event at the LHSAA state track meet on Saturday, May, 8, 2021, at LSU's Bernie Moore
7Track Stadium; her two older sisters each won multiple individual state championships while
8they competed at Lusher; and
9 WHEREAS, Reign secured the gold medal in girls shot put with a thirty-six foot toss
10on the second of her six total attempts; she also earned a bronze medal in the girls' discus
11throw event; and
12 WHEREAS, Reign is most deserving of recognition for continuing her family's
13legacy of winning individual state track and field championships.
14 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
15Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Lusher Charter School senior Reign Riley
16on winning the Louisiana High School Athletic Association 2021 Class 4A girls' shot put
17title; does hereby recognize her incredible determination in overcoming the pressure of high
18expectations; and does hereby extend sincere hopes that she continue to succeed in all of her
19future pursuits.
20 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the
21principal of Lusher Charter School.
