COMMENDATIONS: Commends the Isidore Newman School girls' swim team on winning
the 2019 Division IV state championship
1 A RESOLUTION
2To commend the Isidore Newman School girls' swim team on winning the Louisiana High
3 School Athletic Association 2019 Division IV state championship.
4 WHEREAS, the Isidore Newman School girls' swim team captured the 2019
5Division IVstate championship at the Louisiana state swim meet in Sulphur, giving the team
6four state titles in the last five years; and
7 WHEREAS, Newman junior Katherine Kramer won the 200 yard freestyle with a
8time of 1:57.70 and was runner-up in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:25.15; and
9 WHEREAS, the girls' 200 yard medley relay team finished as runners-up, and the
10400 yard freestyle relay team placed third; and
11 WHEREAS, the girls 200 yard freestyle relay team of Wenbo Jiao, Hailey Dondis,
12Anna Nguyen, and Riley Palmer placed first in the event; and
13 WHEREAS, the Isidore Newman School girls' swim team is most deserving of
14recognition for their inspiring performance at the LHSAA 2019 state swim meet.
15 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
16Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Isidore Newman School girls' swim team
17on winning the Louisiana High School Athletic Association 2019 Division IV state
18championship; does hereby recognize the team's dominance over the past five years; and
19does hereby extend sincere hopes for the team's continued success.
20 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the
21principal of Isidore Newman School.
