COMMENDATIONS: Commends the Isidore Newman School girls' soccer team on
winning the Louisiana High School Athletic Association 2021 Division IV state
championship
1 A RESOLUTION
2To commend the Isidore Newman School girls' soccer team on winning the Louisiana High
3 School Athletic Association 2021 Division IV state championship.
4 WHEREAS, the Isidore Newman School girls' soccer team defeated Academy of
5Sacred Heart, 5-4 on penalty kicks, to capture the Division IV state championship at
6Southeastern Louisiana's Strawberry Stadium; and
7 WHEREAS, the victory gave Newman its fifth state title in the last six years; and
8 WHEREAS, the Newman girls' soccer team finished their championship campaign
9with a record of twelve wins, four losses, and three ties; and
10 WHEREAS, the members of the Isidore Newman School girls' soccer team are most
11deserving of recognition for their incredible efforts throughout their championship season.
12 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
13Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Isidore Newman School girls' soccer
14team on winning the Louisiana High School Athletic Association 2021 Division IV state
15championship; does hereby recognize the team's inspiring dominance over the past six
16seasons; and does hereby extend sincere hopes that the members of the team enjoy similar
17success in all of their future endeavors.
18 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the
19principal of Isidore Newman School.
