COMMENDATIONS: Commends the 2021-2022 Krewe of Athena Queen, Anita Tillman
1 A RESOLUTION
2To commend the 2021-2022 Krewe of Athena Queen, Anita Tillman.
3 WHEREAS, Anita is a native of Calhoun, Louisiana; she attended West Ouachita
4High School where she excelled as a student-athlete, earned multiple academic scholarship
5offers, and graduated near the top of her class; and
6 WHEREAS, Anita attended Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge
7on a full academic scholarship; she majored in electrical engineering and graduated cum
8laude; she also received Student Marshal honors in her class; and
9 WHEREAS, Anita began her engineering career in Kokomo, Indiana, but returned
10to Baton Rouge to pursue a career in business administration; and
11 WHEREAS, Anita became an executive for No Limit Records; the record label
12rapidly grew to become the top-ranked, independently-owned record label in world, selling
13over one hundred million records worldwide; and
14 WHEREAS, today, Anita excels as a strategist, public speaker, and executive coach;
15she is the founder and CEO of AMCorp International which helps municipal governments
16and affiliated organizations with strategic communication and project management services;
17the corporation also assists with the public relations training of elected and appointed public
18officials; and
19 WHEREAS, Anita is also very active in various other organizations; she serves as
20vice chairwoman of the board of directors of Nexus Louisiana; on the Krewe of Athena's

1Queen's Council, executive committee, communications committee, and special events
2committee; and as founding chair of KOA Kidz; and
3 WHEREAS, Anita is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.; and
4 WHEREAS, the Krewe of Athena Carnival Club, Inc., an all-female Mardi Gras club
5in the Greater New Orleans area, has proudly named Anita Tillman as its 2021-2022 Queen;
6she is most deserving of recognition for this achievement and her many incredible
7professional accomplishments.
8 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
9Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the 2021-2022 Krewe of Athena Queen,
10Anita Tillman, and does hereby extend sincere hopes for her continued prosperity.
11 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to Anita
12Tillman.
