HLS 21RS-1956 ORIGINAL 2021 Regular Session HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 58 BY REPRESENTATIVES CARPENTER AND SCHEXNAYDER CONDOLENCES: Expresses condolences on the death of Baton Rouge police officer, Lieutenant Glenn Hutto, Jr. 1 A RESOLUTION 2To express the condolences of the House of Representatives upon the death of Baton Rouge 3 police officer, Lieutenant Glenn Hutto, Jr. 4 WHEREAS, Lieutenant Glenn Hutto, Jr., was a twenty-one-year veteran of the Baton 5Rouge Police Department; he sacrificed his life while trying to assist his colleagues during 6a shootout; and 7 WHEREAS, Lieutenant Hutto was a husband, father, son, and man of God; he was 8a fearless and committed individual who made sure to show love and kindness to all those 9who knew him, especially his family; and 10 WHEREAS, Lieutenant Hutto is remembered for his sharp wit, intellect, kindness, 11and immense faith; he is a true hero who will be deeply missed but certainly never forgotten. 12 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the 13Legislature of Louisiana does hereby express heartfelt condolences on the death of Baton 14Rouge police officer, Lieutenant Glenn Hutto, Jr.; does hereby recognize Lieutenant Hutto 15for his heroic bravery and his selfless dedication to the protection of the Baton Rouge 16community; and does hereby extend sincere hopes that his family find comfort during this 17difficult time. 18 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the 19family of Lieutenant Glenn Hutto, Jr. Page 1 of 2 HLS 21RS-1956 ORIGINAL HR NO. 58 DIGEST The digest printed below was prepared by House Legislative Services.
