HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 81
BY REPRESENTATIVE DEVILLIER
CONDOLENCES:  Expresses condolences on the death of Mark C. Link
1	A RESOLUTION
2To express the condolences of the House of Representatives upon the death of Mark C.
3 Link.
4 WHEREAS, Mark was a lifelong farmer in Richard, Louisiana; he served as a
5member of the Richard Volunteer Fire Department, and since 1986, as Acadia Parish Fire
6District #1 board secretary; and
7 WHEREAS, Mark was a founding member and board member of Church Point
8Bank; and
9 WHEREAS, Mark was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend; he is
10survived by his devoted wife of thirty-nine years, Claire Moody Link; his children,
11Dr. Catherine Link McGee, and her husband Jack; Matthew C. Link, and his wife Shauna;
12Kevin Link, and his wife Hannah; and Eric Link, and his wife Kelsey; his grandchildren,
13Josephine McGee, Grant, Ada, Nora, Everett, and Scarlett Link; his sister, Lucille Link
14Chocallo, and her husband Bill; his lifelong friend and cohort, Charles Bellard; his
15caretakers, Shirley and Sam Ceaser, and Rose Hornsby; and a host of extended family and
16friends; and
17 WHEREAS, Mark C. Link will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in
18those who knew and loved him.
19 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
20Legislature of Louisiana does hereby express heartfelt condolences on the death of Mark C.
21Link; does hereby record for posterity his service to the Richard community as both a farmer

1and volunteer fireman; and does hereby extend sincere hopes that his family, friends, and
2loved ones find comfort during this difficult time.
3 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the
4family of Mark C. Link.
