2. Expands bill to venues where the operation or maintenance is financed by the
state or a political subdivision.

Proposed law provides that no competitive athletic event shall be held in a venue, the
construction, operation, or maintenance of which is funded wholly or partially by the state
or a political subdivision of the state without the playing of the national anthem prior to the
event.
Effective August 1, 2021.
