LOCAL AGENCIES. Provides relative to the membership of the Alexandria/Pineville Area
Louisiana Convention and Visitors Bureau Board of Directors. (8/1/21)
1 AN ACT
2 To amend and reenact R.S. 33:4574.5(A)(1) and (4), and to enact R.S. 33:4574.5(A)(6) and
3 (7), relative to the Alexandria/Pineville Area Convention and Visitors Bureau; to
4 provide relative to the board of directors; and to provide for related matters.
5 Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published.
6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1. R.S. 33:4574.5(A)(1) and (4) are hereby amended and reenacted and R.S.
8 33:4574.5(A)(6) and (7) are hereby enacted to read as follows:
9 ยง4574.5. Alexandria/Pineville Area Convention and Visitors Bureau
10 A. The Alexandria/Pineville Area Convention and Visitors Bureau shall be
11 composed of seven nine members appointed as follows:
12 (1) Two One members appointed by the Greater Alexandria-Pineville
13 Chamber of Commerce.

16 Parish who shall be a representative of the Coliseum Management.

Present law provides that the Alexandria/Pineville Area Convention and Visitors Bureau will
be composed of seven members appointed as follows:
(1)Two members appointed by the Greater Alexandria/Pineville Chamber of
Commerce.
(2)One member appointed by the CENLA chapter of the Louisiana Restaurant
Association.
(3)Two members appointed by the Alexandria Hotel-Motel Association.
(4)One member appointed by the governing authority of Rapides Parish who will be a
representative of the Coliseum Management.
(5)One member appointed by the Central Louisiana Attractions Associations.
Proposed law makes changes to the Alexandria/Pineville Area Convention and Visitors
Bureau board from a seven member board to a nine member board appointed as follows:
(1)One member appointed by the Greater Alexandria/Pineville Chamber of Commerce.
(2)One member appointed by the CENLA chapter of the Louisiana Restaurant
Association.
(3)Two members appointed by the Alexandria Hotel-Motel Association.
(4)Two members appointed by the governing authority of Rapides Parish.
(5)One member appointed by the Central Louisiana Attractions Associations.
(6)One member appointed by the mayor of Alexandria.
(7)One member appointed by the mayor of Pineville.
Effective August 1, 2021.
