Prefiled pursuant to Article III, Section 2(A)(4)(b)(i) of the Constitution of Louisiana.
ROADS/HIGHWAYS.  Designates a portion of Louisiana Highway 9 and Louisiana
Highway 2 in Claiborne Parish the "Pat Garrett Trail", a portion of Louisiana Highway 2 in
West Carroll Parish as the "Sheriff T.W. Auger Memorial Highway", and a portion of
Louisiana Highway 17 in West Carroll Parish as "Master Trooper Robert Ryan Patrick
Memorial Highway". (8/1/21)
1	AN ACT
2 To provide relative to state highways; to designate a portion of Louisiana Highway 2 and
3 Louisiana Highway 9 in Claiborne Parish as the "Pat Garrett Trail"; to designate a
4 portion of Louisiana Highway 2 in West Carroll Parish as the "Sheriff T.W. Auger
5 Memorial Highway"; to designate a portion of Louisiana Highway 17 in West
6 Carroll Parish as "Master Trooper Robert Ryan Patrick Memorial Highway"; and to
7 provide for related matters.
8 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
9 Section 1.  The portion of Louisiana Highway 2 and Louisiana Highway 9 northeast
10 of the town of Homer and northeast of Louisiana Highway 9 and United States Highway 167
11 in Junction City, all in Claiborne Parish, is hereby designated as the "Pat Garrett Trail".
12 Section 2. The portion of Louisiana Highway 2 in the Village of Goodwill, outside
13 of the town of Oak Grove corporate limits and within West Carroll Parish, beginning at the
14 intersection of Louisiana Highway 2 and Louisiana Highway 585 east to Louisiana Highway
15 582 "Redwing Road" is hereby designated as the "Sheriff T.W. Auger Memorial Highway".
16 Section 3. The portion of Louisiana Highway 17 in the Village of Kilbourne, outside
17 of the town of Oak Grove corporate limits and within West Carroll Parish, beginning at the

1 intersection of Louisiana Highway 17 and Parish Road 459 "Chop Road and Terry Road"
2 north to Louisiana Highway 585 is hereby designated as the "Master Trooper Robert Ryan
3 Patrick Memorial Highway".
4 Section 4. The Department of Transportation and Development is hereby directed to
5 erect and maintain appropriate signs of this designation provided local or private monies are
6 received by the department equal to the department's actual costs for material, fabrication,
7 mounting posts, and installation of each sign, not to exceed the sum of five hundred fifty
8 dollars per sign.

as the "Master Trooper Robert Ryan Patrick Memorial Highway".
Directs DOTD to erect and maintain appropriate signs of this designation provided local or
private monies are received by the department equal to the department's actual costs for
material, fabrication, mounting posts, and installation of each sign, not to exceed $550 per
sign.
