1 AN ACT
2 To provide relative to state highways; to designate the Forked Island Bridge over the
3 Intracoastal Waterway on Louisiana Highway 82 in Vermilion Parish as the "Rose
4 Ashy Broussard Memorial Bridge"; and to provide for related matters.
5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6 Section 1. Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, the Forked Island
7 Bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway on Louisiana Highway 82 in Vermilion Parish
8 is hereby designated as the "Rose Ashy Broussard Memorial Bridge".
9 Section 2. The Department of Transportation and Development is hereby
10 directed to erect and maintain appropriate signs of this designation provided local or
11 private monies are received by the department equal to the department's actual costs
12 for material, fabrication, mounting posts, and installation of each sign, not to exceed
13 the sum of five hundred fifty dollars per sign.
