1	AN ACT
2 To authorize and provide for the transfer of certain state property; to authorize the transfer
3 of certain state property in Orleans Parish; to provide for the property description;
4 to provide for reservation of mineral rights; to provide terms and conditions; to
5 provide an effective date; and to provide for related matters.
6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1.  The president of the University of Louisiana System, as authorized by the
8 Board of Supervisors for the University of Louisiana System, and the commissioner of
9 administration, notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, are hereby
10 authorized and empowered to convey, transfer, assign, or deliver any interest, excluding
11 mineral rights, the state may have to all or any portion of the following described parcel of
12 property to The Ogden Museum of Southern Art, Inc.:
13	Commence at the intersection of the northerly right-of-way line of Howard
14 Avenue and the westerly right-of-way line of Camp Street, thence along said
15 westerly line of Camp Street, N 13 degrees 48 minutes 48 seconds E, a distance of
16 127 feet 11 inches 0 eighths to the Point of Beginning; thence N 76 degrees 13
17 minutes 42 seconds W, a distance of 127 feet 10 inches 5 eighths to a point; thence
18 N 16 degrees 33 minutes 33 seconds W, a distance of 9 feet 11 inches 0 eighths to
19 a point; thence S 76 degrees 05 minutes 42 seconds E, a distance of 132 feet 10
20 inches 7 eighths to a point on the westerly right-of-way line of Camp Street; thence
21 along said right-of-way line, S 13 degrees 48 minutes 43 seconds W, a distance of
22 88 feet 11 inches 2 eighths to the Point of Beginning. Containing 11,416 square feet.

1 Section 2.  The president of the University of Louisiana System, as authorized by the
2 Board of Supervisors for the University of Louisiana System, and the commissioner of
3 administration are hereby authorized to enter into such agreements, covenants, conditions,
4 and stipulations and to execute such documents as necessary to properly effectuate any
5 conveyance, transfer, assignment, or delivery of title, excluding mineral rights, to the
6 property described in Section 1 of this Act, and as more specifically described in any such
7 agreements entered into and documents executed by and between the president of the
8 University of Louisiana System, the commissioner, and The Ogden Museum of Southern
9 Art, Inc., in exchange for appropriate consideration sufficient to satisfy the provisions of
10 Article VII, Section 14(A) of the Constitution of Louisiana.
11 Section 3.  This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not
12 signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature
13 by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana. If
14 vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become
15 effective on the day following such approval.
