(8/1/21) 1 AN ACT 2 To amend and reenact R.S. 37:3703(B)(4), relative to the membership of the Louisiana 3 Behavior Analyst Board; to provide for the length of an appointment term; to provide 4 for applicability; and to provide for related matters. 5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana: 6 Section 1. R.S. 37:3703(B)(4) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows: 7 ยง3703. Louisiana Behavior Analyst Board 8 * * * 9 B. * * * 10 (4) Each member of the board shall be appointed for a term of four 11 years. No member of the board shall serve more than two consecutive complete 12 terms on the board. 13 * * * 14 Section 2. The provisions of Section 1 of this Act shall apply to the terms of the 15 members of the Louisiana Behavior Analyst Board currently serving on the effective date 16 of this Act. A board member's four-year term shall be considered to have begun on the date 17 the board member was officially appointed. Proposed law retains present law. Present law prohibits a member of the board from serving more than two consecutive complete terms on the board. Proposed law retains present law and provides that each member of the board shall be appointed for a term of 4 years. Proposed law applies to the terms of the members of the board appointed prior to the effective date of proposed law. Effective August 1, 2021.
