1	AN ACT
2 To repeal R.S. 18:1505.2(H)(7), relative to limits on campaign contributions received from
3 political committees; to eliminate certain restrictions; and to provide for related
4 matters.
5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6 Section 1.  R.S. 18:1505.2(H)(7) is hereby repealed.

Present law provides that the total amount of combined contributions for both the primary
and general elections that may be accepted by a candidate and his principal and subsidiary
campaign committees from political committees shall not exceed $80,000 for major office
candidates, $60,000 for district office candidates, and $20,000 for other office candidates
in aggregate.
Proposed law removes the limitation on combined contributions for both the primary and
general elections that may be accepted by any candidate and his principal and subsidiary
campaign committees from a political committee.
Effective August 1, 2021.
