Present law requires individuals licensed by the La. Board of Hearing Aid Dealers to complete 15
hours of continuing education to reinstate or renew their license. Proposed law reduces the number
of required continuing education hours from 15 to 12.
Present law allows a maximum of 7 continuing education hours to be earned through the internet or
correspondence courses. Proposed law reduces the maximum number of hours from 7 to 4.
Effective January 1, 2022.
