SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 251

CONDOLENCES. Expresses condolences upon the death of Baton Rouge Police
Department Corporal Casey Hart.
1 A RESOLUTION
2 To express the condolences of the Senate upon the death of Baton Rouge Police Department
3 Corporal Casey Hart.
4 WHEREAS, it is with immense sadness and profound regret that the Senate of the
5 Legislature of Louisiana has learned of the untimely death of Corporal Casey Hart of the
6 Baton Rouge Police Department; and
7 WHEREAS, Corporal Hart was a fourteen-year veteran of the Baton Rouge Police
8 Department; he was assigned as a uniform patrol officer at the 3rd District; and
9 WHEREAS, Corporal Hart was also a dedicated member of the United States Army
10 National Guard; he was on an overseas deployment with the United States Army at the time
11 of his passing; and
12 WHEREAS, Corporal Hart is survived by his wife, Keri, and his daughter; and
13 WHEREAS, Corporal Casey Hart will be deeply missed but certainly never
14 forgotten.
15 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
16 does hereby express heartfelt condolences upon the death of Baton Rouge Police Department
17 Corporal Casey Hart; does hereby posthumously recognize Corporal Hart for his law
18 enforcement and military service; and does hereby extend sincere hopes that his family find

1 comfort during this extremely difficult time.
2 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the
3 family of Corporal Casey Hart.
