SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 55

CONDOLENCES. Expresses condolences upon the death of Percival Lange LeBlanc.
1 A RESOLUTION
2 To express the sincere condolences of the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana upon the
3 death of Percival Lange LeBlanc.
4 WHEREAS, Percival Lange LeBlanc was born to Sidney A. Lange Sr. and Emily
5 Percival Douglas Lange; and
6 WHEREAS, as a young woman, she married Daniel Wallace LeBlanc and through
7 this union their daughters Michelle "Mimi" and Emily were born; and
8 WHEREAS, a native of New Orleans, Mrs. LeBlanc called Baton Rouge home since
9 1957; and
10 WHEREAS, Mrs. LeBlanc graduated from The Academy of the Sacred Heart in New
11 Orleans and attended Loyola University; and
12 WHEREAS, after working for many years, she was happy to be a stay-at-home mom
13 and housewife; and
14 WHEREAS, Mrs. LeBlanc never hesitated to volunteer for numerous activities; and
15 WHEREAS, she was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend,
16 and was totally involved in her community on behalf of the betterment of her fellow man
17 until she departed this world on February 2, 2021; and
18 WHEREAS, Mrs. LeBlanc was preceded in death by her husband Daniel Wallace

1 LeBlanc; her parents, Sidney A. Lange Sr. and Emily Percival Douglas Lange; an infant
2 granddaughter, Danielle LeBlanc Root, her brothers, Reverend Sidney A. Lange Jr. and John
3 H. Lange Sr.; and her sister, Louise Lange Stewart; and
4 WHEREAS, the memory of Percival Lange LeBlanc shall live forever in the minds
5 and hearts of all who knew and loved her.
6 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
7 does hereby express profound condolences to the family of Percival Lange LeBlanc, wife,
8 mother, grandmother, and friend upon the occasion of her passing.
9 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the
10 family of Percival Lange LeBlanc.
