HOUSE BILL NO. 1051

PUBLIC PROPERTY:  Authorizes the transfer of state property in Iberville Parish
1	AN ACT
2To authorize and provide for the transfer of certain state property; to authorize the transfer
3 of certain state property in Iberville Parish; to provide a property description; to
4 provide for the reservation of mineral rights; to provide terms and conditions; to
5 provide for termination of authority; to provide an effective date; and to provide for
6 related matters.
7Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
8 Section 1.  The commissioner of administration, notwithstanding any other provision
9of law to the contrary, is hereby authorized and empowered to convey, transfer, assign, lease,
10or deliver any interest, excluding mineral rights, the state may have in and to all or any
11portion of the following described property in Iberville Parish to James McNair:
12	A certain tract of State owned land identified as Campsite Lot No. 43, Bayou
13	Sorrel Area, located in Section 22, T10S, R11E, Louisiana Meridian and
14	identified as Parcel No. 76, Lf 27.1 of the Dow Donation to the State of
15	Louisiana.
16 Section 2.  The commissioner of administration is hereby authorized to enter into
17such agreements, covenants, conditions, and stipulations and to execute such documents as
18necessary to properly effectuate any conveyance, transfer, assignment, lease, or delivery of
19any interest, excluding mineral rights, to the property described in Section 1 of this Act, and
20as more specifically described in any such agreements entered into and documents executed
21by and between the commissioner of administration and James McNair, in exchange for
22consideration proportionate to the appraised value of the property.

1 Section 3.  If an agreement authorized by this Act is not entered into by December
231, 2023, the commissioner of administration is authorized to proceed with a sale of the
3properties described in this Act in accordance with the procedures set forth in Title 41 of the
4Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950.
5 Section 4.  This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not
6signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature
7by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana.  If
8vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become
9effective on the day following such approval.
