1 AN ACT
2 To amend and reenact R.S. 13:587.3(A), relative to the Nineteenth Judicial District; to
3 provide for assignment of an additional subject matter division; and to provide for
4 related matters.
5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6 Section 1. R.S. 13:587.3(A) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:
7 ยง587.3. Nineteenth Judicial District; divisions; subject matter
8 A. Respecting seniority and the requirement that all cases be assigned
9 randomly within multi-judge groupings, the judges of the Nineteenth Judicial District
10 Court, by rule adopted by a majority vote of the judges sitting en banc, with the
11 consent of the judge of a division, may assign to that division criminal matters or
12 civil matters or drug court matters or domestic violence matters or any or all types
13 of matters of which the court has jurisdiction.
