Abstract:  Allows graduates of state-approved, Louisiana-based massage therapy schools to receive
a three-month provisional license upon graduation and a one-time renewal of the provisional
license. 
Present law states the qualifications for licensure to the La. Board of Massage Therapy (board) and
provides the methods for issuance to those qualified licensees. 
Proposed law grants a three-month provisional license to massage therapy graduates in preparation
for the board exam. 
Proposed law provides a one-time renewal of the three-month provisional license in the event of
first-time failure of the board exam.
