New law creates École Pointe-au-Chien, an independent public French immersion school in
Terrebonne Parish for students in grades prekindergarten through four. Provides that the
school shall be its own local education agency. Provides for governance by a 13-member
board of directors, the school's sole governing authority, and for state funding.
Effective July 1, 2023, except new law relative to the creation of the board of directors is
effective upon signature of governor (June 15, 2022).
