GREEN SHEET REDIGEST HB 325 2022 Regular Session Stefanski PUBLIC MEETINGS: Removes provision terminating authority of the State Bond Commission to hold periodic meetings via electronic means DIGEST Present law requires that meetings of public bodies be open to the public and prohibits a public body from utilizing any manner of proxy voting procedure, secret balloting, or any other means to circumvent the intent of present law. Requires that all votes made by members of a public body be viva voce and be recorded in the minutes, journal, or other official, written proceedings of the body. Provides exceptions. Present law authorizes the State Bond Commission to hold periodic meetings via teleconference or video conference. Provides stipulations regarding such meetings. Limits the number of such meetings to one teleconference per quarter. Proposed law retains present law. Present law provides that the State Bond Commission may adopt rules, regulations, and procedures to allow the public to participate in a meeting via electronic means.
