HOUSE BILL NO. 326

RACING/HORSE:  Provides relative to historical horse racing fees
1	AN ACT
2To enact R.S. 4:218.1, relative to horse racing; to provide relative to historical horse racing;
3 to provide relative to license fees; to authorize the Louisiana State Racing
4 Commission to collect a license fee on historical horse racing; and to provide for
5 related matters.
6Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1.  R.S. 4:218.1 is hereby enacted to read as follows: 
8 ยง218.1.  Historical horse racing fee authorization
9	The commission may collect a license fee not to exceed one and one-half
10 percent of the total amount wagered at each offtrack wagering facility on historical
11 horse racing to cover administrative costs.

Abstract:  Authorizes the La. State Racing Commission to collect a license fee on historical
horse racing on amounts wagered at offtrack wagering facilities.
Present law authorizes the La. State Racing Commission to collect a license fee not to
exceed one and one-half percent of the total amount wagered at each offtrack wagering
facility.
