RACING/HORSE: Provides relative to historical horse racing fees
Synopsis of Senate Amendments
1.Increases the fee the commission is authorized to collect from 1.5% to 4% of
the total amount wagered at each offtrack wagering facility on historical horse
racing.

Present law (R.S. 4:218) authorizes the La. State Racing Commission to collect a license fee
not to exceed 1.5 % of the total amount wagered at each offtrack wagering facility.
Proposed law retains present law.
Proposed law (R.S. 4:218.1) authorizes the commission to collect a license fee not to exceed
4% of the total amount wagered at each offtrack wagering facility on historical horse racing
to cover administrative costs.
