Existing law (R.S. 4:218) authorizes the La. State Racing Commission to collect a license
fee not in excess of 1.5% of the total amount wagered at each offtrack wagering facility.
New law retains existing law.
New law (R.S. 4:218.1) authorizes the commission to collect a license fee not in excess of
4% of the total amount wagered at each offtrack wagering facility on historical horse racing
to cover administrative costs.
Effective August 1, 2022.
