Abstract: Increases the mandatory retirement age for judges from 70 to 72 years of age.
Present constitution provides that a judge shall not remain in office beyond his seventieth birthday. 
Present constitution further provides that a judge who attains 70 years of age while serving a term
of office shall be allowed to complete that term of office.
Proposed constitution increases the mandatory retirement age from 70 to 72 and allows a judge who
attains 72 years of age while serving a term of office to be allowed to complete that term.
Provides for submission of the proposed amendment to the voters at the statewide election to be held
Nov. 8, 2022.
