Existing law provides for the designation of controlled dangerous substances into Schedules
I, II, III, IV, and V based upon the substances' potential for addiction and abuse.
New law adds 24 additional substances to Schedule I and Serdexmethylphenidate to
Schedule IV.
New law adds samidorphan as a Schedule II substance of vegetable origin.
Effective August 1, 2022.
